Stranded on Phobos

This was one of my first attempts at modeling a spacecraft in a 3D application (Lightwave).

It's supposed to be a crane ship that's been stranded on one of the Mars' moons... Phobos. The middle section is not finished... Maybe I'll finish it one day.

Futuristic plane ship

This is a vector illustration design concept done a while back in CorelDRAW 12. It's a prop plane at earth gravity but has a booster rocket for short distance space travel. It folds when stationary for horizontal space saving.

Spinning concept space shuttle as a 24fps Flash animation

This is a shuttle that I modified into a sort of "realistic" near future concept ship. I purchased the shuttle model right here and then remodeled the back end with some thinner and longer wings. I then added some booster rockets directly to the ship. I also added lens flares in Lightwave to correspond to the angle of the camera. Here is a 24 frame per second turntable animation.

This little concept craft comes from Joel Carlo (A.K.A mechahatechimp) and is made entirely in Zbrush in under a half hour. We battle over drafting vs. sculpting for hard surface objects all the time... It's all good though, as one can never master enough techniques to build a quick and informative concept.
