Spaceship art by Francis Tsai

Sad to have learned that our good friend Francis Tsai passed away yesterday, April 23rd as a result of Lou Gehrig's Disease. Francis had emailed some spaceship art to me years back and I was blown away by his skills as I rummaged through his online portfolio. He typically didn't write much and his emails eventually stopped. I later learned that Francis was battling ALS and had eventually lost function of his limbs and was using eye gaze technology to illustrate. I was so incredibly blown away, humbled and inspired by him and I'm very glad to have crossed paths with him, if only by email.

May Francis' legacy live on through his amazing art and accomplishments. Let's think about him when our day isn't going the way we planned or we get frustrated because we got beat out for that job we thought we deserved.
At the end of the day, most of us can still hug our loved ones and paint whenever and whatever we want.
