USC game team is looking for 2D/3D artists

Great opportunity to get a title under the belt from Emory Irpan. He writes: I'm the project lead on a student-run game project at the University of Southern California. Our team are huge fans of your conceptships blog and were wondering if you knew of anyone who was open to doing some concept art. We can't offer money (college students are poor), but we can guarantee that the artists' art appears in a shipped game in 1 year (since we have to finish the game to graduate). Curiosity lands on Mars!

Yay! We are on Mars with a fresh new Rover. Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) is a robotic space probe mission to Mars launched by NASA on November 26, 2011, which successfully landed Curiosity, a Mars rover, in Gale Crater on August 6, 2012 at 05:14:39 UTC. These illustrations depict the sequence of the descent and landing. A sky crane? Incredible!

MONTHLY HEADER #81: GIUSEPPE SEVERINO

I've received an email this morning from a credible source informing me that our good friend Giuseppe Severino passed away over the night. I've yet to confirm it 100 percent but everything so far points to it being true. Giuseppe and I have exchanged emails several times. He was very friendly, enthusiastic about concept art and seemed like a really nice guy. May he be remembered with all of the fantastic artwork he has left behind. He was only 33 years old.
