I've been following this blog for months now- and it's just occurred to me the relatively low number of comments left. I can't understand why- this is categorically the most fantastic collection of sci-fi art I've ever come across, and this is a perfect example. The ships look fantastic- clean, and imaginative. Keep up the good work everyone, I hope to waste many more hours staring enviously at your work ;)
I really like how in every example there is something which is not the 'norm.' whether it is the turrets which align vertically on the diagonal wing, or the small size of the engine compartment in the transport or the beautiful addition of the gunnery tower on the cruiser,(off-center, forward and low) all of these pieces have something to offer the imagination. :)
I've been following KaranaK's work for ages and am still blown away by his technique and imagination.
And I agree, there is a sad shortage of comments on these great posts. Don't understand why.
And lastly, Holy Crap! Duncan Jones commented on your work??? How cool is that! I mean, if it's really him - this being the internet and all. But wow, what praise from an up and coming genius filmmaker. Say hi to dad for me, will you?
I love these ship designs, but the capitol ships seem a little underpowered as far as weaponry goes. Most of them seem virtually unarmed on the bottom of the ships. Some anti aircraft and surface bombardment arrays would be wise and beautiful. Amazing craft tho, truly.

I'm loving this...this is great work!
A gold mine for sci-fi designers and game artists. Now I know where they get their inspiration from.
Many thanks for this blog. Keep it going!

Thank you all! Glad you liked it! :)
amazing designs
are they for a computer game or a model game?
